Tom Catherall, one of the nation’s certified master chefs, has returned to the Atlanta dining scene to open Taco Cowboy at 1000 Virginia Avenue, NE in the space formally occupied by Noche in the eclectic Virginia Highland neighborhood. Taco Cowboy is classic Catherall with a chef inspired menu that is both innovative and always fresh.
“As a chef I strive to stay informed on what’s trendy, but I will only serve what I think is best. That’s why I plan on serving sustainable fish and meat along with organic vegetables whenever possible. If something is not season then you will not find it on the menu at Taco Cowboy. As always I will be serving high quality food and drinks that offer value for the money. That’s my guarantee to you!"

Such a lovely pre-bday dinner at newly opened Taco Cowboy: Virginia Highland! It was packed and I soon found out why. The tapas, service, drink menu and atmosphere were all on point.
Perhaps the best patio dining experience in Atlanta. Food is awesome! My wife and I shared the crab cake sandwich and the whole fried catfish. The presentation for the catfish was over the top - I could hear necks snapping as people turned to look. The crab cake was solid crab meat. Also met the man himself, Tom, on the way out; extremely nice guy. If you don't go you're missing out!!!
From California and randomly dropped in...chef went out of his way to make us happy with an item off the menu...food was beyond excellent and they even carry Karma tequila, my fav. Great place!
